About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the preparation and delivery of accurate, timely monthly management accounts for Virgin Experience Days (UK)
  • Own and manage P&L overhead cost schedules
  • Conduct detailed Actuals vs. Budget/Forecast variance analysis and investigate discrepancies
  • Prepare and review month-end balance sheet reconciliations, including accruals, prepayments, and provisions
  • Support financial operations including reporting, provisions, cashflow control, and stock control
  • Prepare quarterly royalty returns for review and submission
  • Participate in annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting processes
  • Support the year-end audit process
  • Business partner with internal department heads through ad-hoc financial reporting, commercial analysis, and decision-support insights
  • Support the wider Finance team with ad hoc reporting, analysis, and project work
  • Process supplier invoices according to the company’s 30-day payment terms
  • Prepare and process weekly payment runs for Virgin Experience Days (UK)
  • Monitor and respond to supplier queries, escalating issues where appropriate

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Qualified or studying towards CIMA, ACCA, ACA or equivalent
  • Proven track record in a similar finance role, with practical experience in core month-end duties and variance reporting
  • Hands-on experience in month-end close processes, balance sheet reconciliations, and variance analysis
  • Prior experience using ERP systems; Microsoft Dynamics 365 is desirable
  • Strong commercial awareness and ability to communicate financial results clearly to non-finance stakeholders
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Proven track record of meeting strict month-end deadlines
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a small, supportive team
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
