About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support Account Executives and Travel leaders in managing and growing strategic merchant relationships
  • Contribute to account plans that strengthen client relationships, deepen executive engagement, and accelerate revenue growth
  • Analyze client portfolios for growth opportunities, product adoption trends, competitive insights, and strategic recommendations
  • Assist with opportunity identification, qualification, tracking, forecasting, and pipeline management
  • Support commercialization efforts across Visa’s Travel portfolio by coordinating resources and conducting research
  • Prepare executive presentations, business reviews, opportunity assessments, account summaries, and leadership communications
  • Monitor accounts and industries for developments, competitive activity, organizational changes, and commercial opportunities
  • Conduct market research, client analysis, and business case development
  • Maintain account, contact, opportunity, and forecasting data in Microsoft Dynamics and other sales management tools
  • Partner with Product, Consulting, Marketing, Client Services, Finance, and other Visa teams
  • Identify key stakeholders and support engagement strategies across client organizations
  • Leverage AI-enabled productivity tools, automation, and analytics to improve portfolio management and client insights
  • Support business reviews, strategic planning discussions, pipeline reviews, scorecard reporting, and growth initiatives
  • Participate in client meetings, internal leadership forums, and industry events
  • Travel 5–10% of the time

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ months of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree
  • 2 or more years of work experience with a Bachelor’s Degree or more than 1 year of work experience with an Advanced Degree (e.g. Masters, MBA, JD, MD) (preferred)
  • Experience in business development, account management, consulting, analytics, strategy, customer success, client services, sales operations, financial services, or related business function
  • Strong interest in strategic sales, relationship management, business development, consulting, payments, or financial services
  • Demonstrated analytical capabilities, including interpreting data, identifying trends, and developing actionable recommendations
  • Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Curiosity, initiative, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships and collaborate across a matrixed organization
  • Experience developing executive presentations, business cases, reports, dashboards, and client-facing deliverables
  • Experience with CRM platforms, sales management tools, analytics solutions, and AI-enabled productivity tools
  • Strong business acumen and interest in client strategies, industry trends, and emerging market opportunities
  • Self-motivated, intellectually curious, and eager to learn
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Microsoft Dynamics, Copilot, and related business productivity applications
  • Familiarity with payments, fintech, bill payment, recurring payments, consulting, telecommunications, automotive, insurance, utilities, or travel industries is a plus
  • Travel up to 10% of the time
