About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Analyze large-scale datasets using cloud-based data and analytics platforms
- Apply tools such as Claude Code, Python, SQL, Spark, and other cloud-native technologies
- Conduct exploratory analysis, develop features, evaluate trends, and generate insights
- Apply statistical analysis, machine learning, experimentation, forecasting, segmentation, optimization, performance measurement, and decision modeling
- Develop and evaluate models and decision frameworks
- Create and enhance dashboards and visualizations using Power BI, Tableau, and conversational BI tools
- Translate analytical findings into actionable recommendations
- Communicate insights to technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Collaborate with data science, product, technology, data and analytics, privacy, governance, regional, and global teams
- Recommend scalable, reusable, automated improvements to analytical workflows, tools, and processes
- Present project achievements, insights, and recommendations to Visa leaders and stakeholders
Requirements
What you’ll need- Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Analytics, Data Science, Information Technology, Statistics, or a related STEM/quantitative field
- Graduating December 2027–August 2028
- Strong communication skills with clear and concise written and spoken communications
- Experience analyzing data using statistical software such as Python, SAS, R, or Stata
- Experience with visualization and reporting tools such as PowerPoint, Power BI, Tableau, open-source tools, or similar
- Experience extracting and aggregating data from large datasets using SQL or other tools
- Understanding of machine learning techniques
- Competence in Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau
- Digital fluency, including ability to work with emerging technologies such as Generative AI tools
- Ability to travel 5–10% of the time
