About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own a product area end to end within Visa Direct’s Currencycloud product
  • Shape product vision and roadmap based on client needs, business goals, market context and discovery
  • Understand client usage, identify experience breakdowns and improvement opportunities
  • Define, launch and monitor features using data, feedback and judgement
  • Collaborate on tribe strategy through market, customer, competitor and technology research
  • Develop product strategy and roadmap and secure stakeholder buy-in
  • Translate strategy into a prioritised backlog and roadmap
  • Lead client discovery to uncover problems, unmet needs and opportunities
  • Generate, test and refine ideas for new features and products with customers and colleagues
  • Analyse payment flows, bank and operational processes and end-to-end systems maps
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation with internal and external teams
  • Define functional and non-functional requirements for sprint delivery
  • Manage end-to-end product development from problem definition through client launch
  • Prioritise the product backlog across potentially more than one scrum team
  • Partner with engineering and delivery teams to maintain focus and pace
  • Provide context for prioritisation and decision-making
  • Define go-to-market plans, positioning and launches with Product Marketing and GTM teams
  • Drive product adoption across regions, segments and use cases
  • Measure post-launch product performance and impact and determine what to improve, scale or stop
  • Report to a Product Director or Group Product Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • At least 3-4 years proven experience in a Product Owner/Product Manager role, preferably in a software-first Fintech or tech start-up
  • Experience owning a product area or major initiative from discovery through launch and iteration
  • Experience shipping products and demonstrating impact through key customer and business metrics
  • Strong prioritisation skills and ability to define and manage a backlog and make tough trade-offs
  • Comfortable working with agile frameworks such as Scrum or Kanban, across 1-2 teams
  • Experience crafting product vision based on customer discovery, market research and data analysis
  • Preferably domain knowledge in Fintech, such as payments, FX, transaction banking or trading
  • Experience shipping features to customers, measuring impact and using learnings to shape future plans
  • Strong bias to action and track record of getting things done
  • Ability to take ownership, follow through and maintain a high quality bar
  • Strong stakeholder management and ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority
  • Analytical and commercially sharp, able to turn insight into action
  • Comfortable challenging the status quo and curious about how things work
  • Clear and confident written and verbal communication
  • Structure and attention to detail while maintaining focus on the bigger picture
  • Comfortable working in a scaling environment where not everything is defined
