About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support sales teams and provide share-of-shelf advice for large-format customers
- Lead projects with Canadian retailers
- Assess category data and develop presentations
- Analyze Nielsen, SPINS, and retailer portal data
- Review new POG assortments and recommend changes
- Review retailer portals and present performance and market-share analysis
- Create sales presentations with competitive data and business-case opportunities
- Work with retailer dashboards
- Implement new item setup and manage retailer data portals
- Support new product and retailer launches, including administrative support and POG assessments
- Provide launch recommendations and analyze category performance
- Manage daily administrative tasks and ongoing data analysis
- Organize category data and keep files and presentation decks accurate and current
- Conduct weekly POS data analysis across major retailers
- Manage new item forms and retailer portals
- Update and build product presentations for sales teams
- Manage new-item data and provide ongoing launch support
Requirements
What you’ll need- 3–5+ years of category management experience; CPG industry experience is a plus
- Data Analyst background is an asset
- Strong knowledge of data capture, POG assortment, and MOD software
- Strong experience with Nielsen, SPINS, IRI, and other category data platforms
- Strong experience with dashboard creation, software assessment, data consolidation, market intelligence support, Retail Link, LDIA, and similar retailer platforms
- Proficiency in Excel, Word, PowerPoint, POG management tools, and retail POG software
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize workload, and meet deadlines
- Ability to work cross-functionally and influence without direct authority
- Entrepreneurial mindset and ability to adapt as the business grows
- Independent thinker and self-starter able to work with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and responsiveness with customers, suppliers, and internal teams
- Ability to provide executive leadership with relevant business information and insights
- Experience with business process development and continuous improvement
- Bilingual French-English skills are preferred
