About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Compile, compute, and input payroll data into the ADP payroll system
  • Coordinate with medical directors, managers, and physicians to obtain payroll information
  • Coordinate with Recruiting, HR, and Benefits departments to ensure payroll information is accurate and timely
  • Verify time records and calculate and produce checks or electronic transfers
  • Calculate and produce quarterly incentive bonuses
  • Validate payroll information and balance Payroll Preview report entries
  • Fulfill wage garnishment requirements and maintain withholding documentation
  • Verify compliance with federal and state payroll requirements
  • Reconcile payroll items and assist with site-based financial questions
  • Assist with monthly reconciliations and yearly audits of payroll-related accounts
  • Create regular and ad hoc reports for CEP leadership and MA management
  • Monitor and respond to ticketing-system inquiries and department phone calls
  • Assist Site Medical Directors with bonus and surplus calculations
  • Assist with audits of internal records, workers compensation, tax filings, and related documentation
  • Participate in Payroll and HRIS system updates and testing
  • Assist IS&T with third-party payroll system implementations and upgrades
  • Maintain accurate payroll databases, payroll change records, and transaction records
  • Maintain and review online schedule information
  • Complete written and verbal verifications of employment
  • Provide payroll history data and records to employees upon request
  • Contribute suggestions and feedback to improve Payroll/Finance department efficiency

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 2-3 years of payroll or accounting experience required
  • General knowledge of Payroll and Accounting principles
  • Knowledge of specific policies, standards, procedures, and practices pertaining to the assigned function
  • Knowledge of math principles
  • Good PC skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a member of a dynamic team
  • Ability to demonstrate effective customer service techniques
  • Excellent customer service and detail oriented
  • Ability to demonstrate data collection, assimilation, and reconciliation skills
  • Ability to multitask and work well under pressure
