About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Generate and develop recruiting leads through advertisements, cold calling, referrals, Internet sources, residency programs, and conventions
  • Initiate contact and follow up with prospective Emergency Medicine physicians and Advanced Provider candidates
  • Develop comprehensive recruiting plans for specific vacancies
  • Conduct preliminary phone screens and provide position and Vituity information to qualified candidates
  • Evaluate candidates for position and organizational fit
  • Coordinate phone and site interviews with candidates and Medical Directors
  • Follow up with applicants regarding interviews
  • Discuss the hiring process with new hires during contracting
  • Conduct verbal reference checks and facilitate written reference checks
  • Maintain candidate records and use Taleo for reports, searches, and listings
  • Build relationships with Medical Directors, Regional Directors, Vice Presidents, Lead Advanced Providers, and Regional Advanced Providers
  • Conduct 30/60/90-day follow-up calls with new hires to support retention
  • Maintain practice profiles with site information, credential requirements, and pay information
  • Maintain contact with new hires through and beyond their effective start date
  • Consult with sites on recruiting and interviewing efforts
  • Recruit for additional practice lines when requested, including Hospital Medicine, Outpatient Medicine, Psychiatry, Neurology, Anesthesiology, and Tele-Medicine
  • Recruit successfully for one or more hard-to-recruit sites
  • Provide full-cycle recruiting for the Emergency Medicine line of business
  • Attend meetings concerning Physician and Advanced Provider issues
  • Establish relationships with residency programs and attend residency dinners as needed
  • Prepare for and attend conferences
  • Develop recruiting initiatives aligned with the Balanced Score Card
  • Collaborate with Business Development, Practice Management, Partnership Affairs, HR, and other departments on market intelligence and recruiting best practices
  • Provide salary and market assessments for potential contracts and RFPs through professional networks and cold calls
  • Support outreach to medical training programs in Hospitalist-related, Anesthesia, Psychiatry, and Neurology fields when requested
  • Prepare and process PA/NP offer letters and hire documents
  • Communicate updates to credentialing and provider enrollment
  • Review and maintain application status and regularly contact applicants
  • Keep current on practice sites and Vituity policies and procedures

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 3-5 years of recent Recruiting experience required
  • 1-2 years working for a practice management company or physician recruiting firm required
  • Proficient in MS Office Suite for Windows, Internet and other sourcing techniques and expertise with database management preferred
  • Experience with Taleo preferred
  • DEI Recruiting experience strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a recruitment agency setting strongly preferred
  • Experience working in a medical setting desired
  • Experience working both independently and in a team-oriented, collaborative environment preferred
  • Ability to juggle multiple priorities and make decisions in a rapidly growing, professional, service orientated environment preferred
  • Excellent verbal, written and in-person communication skills, including team building and negotiation skills preferred
  • Strong organization, planning and time management skills preferred
  • Excellent customer service skills and the ability to work well under pressure preferred
  • Ability to deal constructively with conflict and use good judgment preferred
