About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Monitor administrative and judicial tax proceedings, including updating case progress, deadlines, risks, and required actions in Projuris
  • Analyze tax assessment notices, audits, and other tax-related matters
  • Draft and review documents, submissions, defenses, administrative appeals, and technical memoranda
  • Research legislation, case law, and administrative and judicial precedents
  • Gather and analyze documents and information to support tax audits and proceedings
  • Assist with the classification of tax litigation risks, provisions, and contingencies, working closely with Accounting and Audit
  • Monitor matters handled by external law firms, including tracking responses, outstanding items, and strategies
  • Assist in preparing management reports, tax litigation risk maps, and dispute-resolution metrics

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Law
  • Active license with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
  • Postgraduate degree in Tax Law, Tax Accounting, or a related field is a plus
  • Experience in Tax Law, particularly administrative or judicial tax litigation; experience gained during an internship may be considered
  • Knowledge of tax legislation and familiarity with administrative and judicial tax proceedings
  • Strong legal research, case-law interpretation, and technical writing skills
  • Intermediate Excel proficiency
  • Organizational skills, analytical ability, strong communication skills, and a sense of urgency
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Projuris, or an equivalent litigation management tool is a plus
