About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Float between the Plymouth and Woodbury clinics
Perform patient care activities according to standards of practice
Greet patients and provide general medical support
Room clinic patients in person or virtually and update patient charts
Communicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses
Ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms
Assist providers in the exam room
Collect, prepare, and submit ordered patient lab specimens
Administer injections and vaccines
Obtain prior authorizations and document treatments
Triage patient phone calls and messages
Order and manage supplies under manager direction
Clean and stock exam rooms using approved disinfectant
Assist with obtaining records for patient charts
Support front desk staff as needed
Report patient issues and unsafe conditions
Handle and store hazardous materials properly
Participate in emergency evacuation procedures
Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA and company policies
Participate in staff, CQI, and educational meetings
Perform other duties as requested

Requirements

What you’ll need

High school graduate or equivalent, required
Medical Assistant Certification, required
CPR/BLS, required prior to start date
6 months clinical experience, required
Phlebotomy and lab processing skills, preferred
Prior administrative experience
Strong initiative and ability to work independently
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Computer skills for electronic recordkeeping
Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily
Ability to stand, walk, talk, hear, smell, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl
Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity
Ability to use required PPE and safety equipment
Proof of eligibility to work in the US
