About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Welcome patients and provide safe, compassionate care
  • Room clinic patients in person or virtually and update patient charts
  • Communicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses
  • Greet patients, assist with scheduling, manage phone calls, and process payments
  • Ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms
  • Assist providers in the exam room
  • Collect, prepare, and submit ordered patient lab specimens
  • Assist with prior authorizations and documentation
  • Triage patient phone calls and messages
  • Order and manage supplies
  • Disinfect and stock exam rooms
  • Obtain records required for patient charts
  • Report patient issues throughout the treatment day
  • Follow company policies and CDC infection-control guidelines
  • Handle and store hazardous materials properly
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and patient records and adhere to HIPAA
  • Communicate schedule changes and assist with patient rescheduling
  • Manage incoming mail and deliveries
  • Work independently on administrative functions and intake medical deliveries when no patients are scheduled

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school graduate or equivalent, required
  • CPR/BLS, required prior to start date
  • 1 year of experience working within a clinical environment, required
  • 1 year in an administrative, patient-facing, or customer service role, required
  • Medical Assistant Certification, preferred
  • Phlebotomy and lab processing skills, preferred
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as needed
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills for electronic recordkeeping
  • Able to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the US
