About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Welcome patients and provide safe, compassionate care
  • Assist medical staff and support clinical operations
  • Room clinic patients in person or virtually and update patient charts
  • Communicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses
  • Greet patients, assist with scheduling, manage incoming and outgoing phone calls, and process payments
  • Ensure efficient turnover of exam rooms
  • Assist providers in exam rooms as requested
  • Collect, prepare, and submit ordered patient lab specimens
  • Assist with prior authorizations and documentation for prescribed treatments
  • Triage patient phone calls and messages and document them appropriately
  • Order and manage supplies under manager direction
  • Disinfect and stock exam rooms
  • Obtain records required for patient charts
  • Report patient issues throughout the treatment day
  • Follow company policies and CDC infection-control guidelines
  • Handle and store hazardous materials properly
  • Maintain confidentiality of company and patient records and adhere to HIPAA
  • Communicate schedule changes and assist with rescheduling patients
  • Manage incoming mail and deliveries
  • Intake medical deliveries as needed
  • Work independently to support administrative functions on days without scheduled patients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school graduate or equivalent, required
  • Medical Assistant Certification, preferred
  • CPR/BLS, required prior to start date
  • 1 year of experience working within a clinical environment, required
  • 1 year in an administrative, patient-facing, or customer service role, required
  • Phlebotomy and lab processing skills, preferred
  • Self-motivated with the ability to work independently as needed
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Computer skills for electronic recordkeeping
  • Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
  • Must be able to travel to multiple clinics
  • Must be able to work some days alone when no patients are scheduled
  • Must be able to stand, walk, talk, hear, smell, sit, stoop, kneel, bend, crouch, or crawl
  • Excellent visual acuity and manual dexterity
  • Ability to use required PPE and safety equipment
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the US
