About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Guide patients in coordinating care with outside physician practices and facilities
  • Send referrals and medical records
  • Obtain prior authorizations for MRIs and prescribed treatments
  • Perform patient care activities according to standards of practice
  • Room clinic patients in person or virtually and update patient charts
  • Communicate pertinent patient data to providers and nurses
  • Greet patients and provide scheduling, phone, and payment support
  • Oversee efficient turnover of exam rooms
  • Assist providers in exam rooms as requested
  • Collect, prepare, and submit ordered lab specimens
  • Triage patient calls and messages and document them appropriately
  • Order and manage supplies
  • Disinfect and stock exam rooms
  • Obtain records required for patient charts
  • Report patient issues throughout the treatment day
  • Assist with hazardous-material handling and storage
  • Communicate schedule changes and assist with patient rescheduling
  • Manage incoming mail and deliveries
  • Report to the Clinical Operations Manager

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • High school graduate or equivalent, required
  • CPR/BLS, required
  • 6 months of clinical experience, required
  • Experience with eClinicalWorks is a plus
  • 1 year in an administrative or customer service role, preferred
  • Phlebotomy and lab processing skills, preferred
  • A caring and compassionate personality
  • Great customer and patient service
  • Ability to multitask and work under pressure
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to assist with referrals, progress notes, medical records, and prior authorizations for MRIs
  • Ability to assist MDs and NPs
  • Must maintain confidentiality of company and patient records
  • Must adhere to HIPPA
  • Must follow company policies and CDC guidelines for infection control
  • Must be able to perform the essential duties satisfactorily
  • Proof of eligibility to work in the US
