About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Work in the company’s legal and regulatory practice
- Defend and manage administrative sanctioning proceedings
- Handle litigation arising from regulated matters
- Develop judicial and administrative defense strategies
- Draft and/or review legal pleadings
- Conduct civil investigations and negotiate Conduct Adjustment Agreements (TACs)
- Manage the litigation portfolio and define legal defense strategies
- Retain and coordinate external counsel
- Draft fee agreements
- Respond to internal legal inquiries
- Maintain the litigation database and internal controls
- Prepare litigation reports and presentations for senior management
Requirements
What you’ll need- Law degree
- Active registration with the Brazilian Bar Association (OAB)
- Preferably admitted to practice for at least six years
- Knowledge of administrative, civil, and civil procedural law
- Experience in regulated markets
- Intermediate proficiency in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Prior experience in strategic or highly complex litigation is preferred
