About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Work in a technical laboratory performing approval testing, triage, maintenance, refurbishment, staging, and environmentally responsible decommissioning of microcomputing equipment and mobile devices
Perform performance testing and prepare technical documentation for equipment being considered for inclusion in the product portfolio
Deploy operating systems, factory and customized images, and update drivers and BIOS firmware according to manufacturer specifications and approvals
Prepare equipment for new users, including image and system customization
Perform initial triage, thorough cleaning, and functional testing of desktops, all-in-one computers, notebooks, printers, tablets, and smartphones
Replace parts and components and perform advanced hardware-level repairs
Decommission, update, and securely dispose of obsolete or damaged hardware, ensuring secure data destruction
Update request status and progress in the productivity measurement tool, meeting established SLAs and targets

Requirements

What you’ll need

Solid experience in laboratory repairs focused on microcomputing equipment and smartphones (Windows, Linux, Android, and iOS)
Experience with IT service management tools (SGE and ServiceNow)
Knowledge of ESD shielding bags, dissipative materials, foams, and bubble wrap
Technical qualification in Information Technology, Electronics, Electrical Engineering Technology, and/or Computer Networking
Strong knowledge of Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Knowledge of Grafana dashboards and Power BI is a plus
Currently pursuing a degree in Systems Analysis and Development, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field is a plus
