Key responsibilities & impact

Process contract creations and modifications accurately within agreed timelines
Validate contract conditions and confirm required controls before payments are posted
Complete IFRS 16 compliance checks for applicable contracts
Post vendor and landlord payments according to contract terms
Understand upstream dependencies and facilitate timely contract postings
Resolve queries from local market Finance Operations teams, business stakeholders and landlords on a first-time-right basis
Respond to stakeholder enquiries promptly, clearly and accurately
Provide operational support to local market functions
Collaborate within a virtual, matrix-based team and engage stakeholders to achieve shared outcomes
Identify and support process improvements across Group Common Functions
Analyse and respond to non-English queries from European stakeholders concerning lease accounting

Requirements

What you’ll need

Sound accounting knowledge and experience supporting month-end close activities
Practical working knowledge of SAP
Understanding of contract processing, payment postings and financial controls
Knowledge of or experience with IFRS 16 lease accounting requirements
Ability to analyse operational queries and provide clear, accurate and timely responses
Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional and geographically dispersed stakeholders
Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a virtual, matrix-based team
Attention to detail, accountability and a first-time-right approach
Comfort using appropriate tools to interpret and respond to non-English business queries
