About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Assess, plan and execute migrations of applications, data and infrastructure to modern cloud platforms
- Migrate virtual machines, databases, applications and data to Microsoft Azure using Azure Migrate, Azure Site Recovery and Azure Database Migration Service
- Collaborate with developers, database administrators, system administrators and other cross-functional stakeholders
- Monitor migrated environments for performance, security, reliability and operational stability
- Troubleshoot migration-related issues, perform root-cause analysis and implement resolutions
- Deliver Level 3 infrastructure administration, including installation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance
- Identify, assess and remediate infrastructure vulnerabilities
- Apply operating-system security-hardening practices
- Use Bash, Python or similar scripting technologies to automate routine activities and enterprise systems
- Produce technical documentation and conduct knowledge-transfer sessions
Requirements
What you’ll need- Hands-on experience migrating platforms to cloud services or managed-instance environments
- Understanding of cloud migration methodologies and tools, particularly Microsoft Azure
- Experience with Linux, VMware and vCenter
- Cloud certification relating to Azure, AWS or Google Cloud Platform
- Broad IT knowledge, including service delivery, operations and emerging technologies
- Understanding of ITIL frameworks and their practical application within IT service management
- Familiarity with compliance and governance requirements, including GDPR
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and advanced troubleshooting skills
- Clear written and verbal communication
- Ability to build trusted stakeholder relationships and work collaboratively across teams
- Reliable follow-through on agreed actions and focus on timely outcomes
