About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Design and lead implementation of solutions and capabilities supporting strategic FTTX expansion
- Drive development and implementation of cross-functional processes and systems across FTTH, FTTB, and Fixed
- Improve service quality, customer satisfaction, and operational cost efficiency
- Oversee business analysis, process management, and solution designs integrating Vodacom systems and processes with third-party partners through APIs or portal integration
- Develop in-depth understanding of end-to-end FTTX and Fixed systems and processes
- Review system effectiveness and efficiency and develop improvement strategies
- Maintain, re-evaluate, optimise, or automate business processes
- Identify automation and integration opportunities within Vodacom and third-party infrastructure provider systems
- Collaborate with third-party fibre infrastructure providers to resolve service delivery issues and execute operational improvements
- Define technical workflows, document and prioritise process and system enhancements
- Review technical solution specifications and ensure solutions are fit for purpose and sustainable
- Guide service delivery teams to ensure alignment
- Lead cross-functional projects and coordinate virtual project teams
- Apply quality management techniques during projects
- Ensure solution compliance with security, privacy, and regulatory requirements
- Advocate adoption of new technologies
- Liaise with IT Operations on technical support queries, identify root causes, and introduce process/system enhancements
Requirements
What you’ll need- Matric is essential
- 3 year related BSc Degree in Engineering or IT studies or Relevant NQF level qualification is essential (Diploma, Certificate)
- Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience essential in Business Analysis / Process Modelling, System Design / Architecture, and Data Architecture
- Strong leadership skills
- Ability to work with large teams of junior and senior individuals
- Ability to provide leadership and guidance to Operational and Support Resources
- Ability to develop monitoring tools to ensure productivity targets are met
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to communicate technical support information to internal staff and business users
- Ability to identify risks and escalate issues where appropriate
- Analytical thinking, including analysing data trends and anomalies
- Logical reasoning and problem-solving ability
- Thorough understanding of Agile Development processes
- Proven experience managing multiple medium- and large-sized projects
- Proven experience working in an Agile (Scrum) environment, ideally as a Product Owner
- Experience in end-to-end process and data modelling, including identification of upstream and downstream impacts
- High level of commitment and strong work ethic
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, Visio, and Word
