About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Own voize’s legal function and report directly to the COO
- Build the legal function from scratch and establish a modern risk-management approach
- Create playbooks, automations, approval rules and self-serve legal workflows such as NDAs
- Draft, negotiate and approve customer and partner contracts across Germany, Europe and the US
- Advise on employment law, including contracts, policies, terminations and settlements, across markets
- Lead legal work for financing rounds, equity plans, new entities and board matters
- Manage external counsel and legal budgets
- Bring recurring legal work in-house
- Partner with Sales, People, Finance and management
Requirements
What you’ll need- A law degree with German-law competence (Volljurist) or an international equivalent
- 7+ years in tech or SaaS commercial law, at least 2 of them in-house
- Hands-on experience negotiating liability, IP and termination terms with international customers
- Working knowledge of German employment and US corporate law
- Pragmatic, commercial mindset and ability to manage legal risk
- Interest in AI legal tools and scalable legal processes
- Fluent German and English
- Short, clear communication style
- Exposure to US, UK or French law is a plus
- Legal right to work in Germany; voize does not support visa or sponsorships
- English resume required
- German-law qualification (Second State Exam) or international legal qualification with at least 2 years of professional experience working on German-law matters
