About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the MISO book and be accountable for revenue and profitability of the MISO DER portfolio, including financial modeling, forecasting, and performance optimization
  • Track evolving MISO market rules and product changes and translate implications for customers, Product, and Energy Markets
  • Build and maintain relationships with MISO staff, utility representatives, and DER/technology partners
  • Manage and develop a small team through delegation, coaching, and skills development
  • Lead cross-functional projects across Sales, Product, Engineering, and Operations
  • Prioritize initiatives and adapt quickly to changing market conditions and priorities
  • Lead operational onboarding of new resource types, such as batteries, and new technology/DER partners into the MISO portfolio
  • Communicate MISO strategy and market changes across the organization

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 5+ years of experience in energy markets, demand response, or a closely related field
  • Track record of effectively managing a team
  • Strong Excel and Google Sheets skills
  • Excellent cross-functional project management instincts
  • Ability to build trust quickly and communicate effectively with internal and external teams
  • Comfort with ambiguity and a fast-changing market landscape
  • Must be authorized to work from the home location in the US or Canada
  • Preference for experience with SQL and/or Python
  • Bonus experience managing or onboarding battery storage assets
  • Bonus experience working directly with an RTO/ISO; MISO experience is a strong plus
