About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Meet or exceed assigned sales targets for designated territory/accounts
- Manage a network of distributors selling and distributing Gasboy product solutions
- Identify and engage channel and fleet customers with distributor partners
- Develop end-fleet sales opportunities with distributor partners
- Assist distributors with sales training and presentations for larger clients
- Train, coach, mentor, and partner with Distributor Sales Representatives
- Manage distributor and end-customer inquiries, investigate issues, and provide feedback
- Network and negotiate with potential end-fleet accounts to generate company revenue
- Work with engineering firms, clients, and government municipalities to educate and specify Gasboy fleet fuel management solutions
- Attend sales meetings, conferences, and events within the territory
- Enter sales data into Salesforce.com, including scheduling, sales calls, account activity, updates, and forecasts
- Source sales opportunities through inbound lead follow-up and outbound cold calls
- Conduct online and in-person product demonstrations
- Communicate regularly with internal and external stakeholders
- Collaborate with marketing to develop sales tools and marketing materials
- Gather customer, competitive, and market information and provide voice-of-customer input for product roadmaps, promotions, and sales content
- Report to the Regional Director of Sales
Requirements
What you’ll need- BA/BS degree preferred
- 5+ years progressive experience in distributor management and sales model
- Fleet transportation and logistics knowledge or previous experience is a plus
- Existing relationships with large private fleets, federal government, city, state, municipality, and DOTs is a benefit
- Ability to interact at all levels in distributor and end customer/prospect organizations, from C-suite to operations staff
- Ability to think quickly, articulate solutions as a problem solver, and counter objections professionally
- Track record of exceeding quota targets
- Proficient with Salesforce.com
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Strong selling, listening, and presentation skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time effectively
- Demonstrated experience defining and optimizing complex processes and communicating sophisticated product knowledge
- Knowledge of digital communication channels, including web and social media, and how they influence the sales cycle
