About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Serve as a strategic partner to the CTO and technology leadership team
  • Drive key initiatives and align the technology roadmap with enterprise business goals
  • Lead cross-functional projects spanning engineering, infrastructure, security, and product teams
  • Facilitate communication between departments and monitor progress toward objectives
  • Analyze technology performance data, delivery metrics, and industry trends
  • Provide actionable recommendations supporting decision-making and organizational growth
  • Oversee budgeting, fiscal management, resource allocation, vendor spend, and capital spend
  • Prepare executive-level reports, presentations, and communications for the CTO, board, and stakeholders
  • Own the CTO's operating cadence, including leadership meetings, all-hands, QBRs, and offsites
  • Ensure follow-through on action items and decisions
  • Maintain confidentiality and integrity when handling sensitive technology, security, and personnel matters
  • Support organizational priorities and manage special projects assigned by the CTO, including reorganizations, major program launches, and M&A technology integration
  • Stay informed about technology trends, emerging tools including AI/automation, and regulatory or security considerations relevant to financial services technology

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, computer science, engineering, management, or a related field
  • 7+ years in a leadership or managerial role, preferably within technology, financial services, or a related industry
  • Prior experience as a Chief of Staff or in a technology organization strongly preferred
  • Demonstrated track record of shaping organizational strategy and driving strategic initiatives to achieve business objectives
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills; credibility with engineering and technical leaders
  • Advanced proficiency in project management tools and financial/budget analysis
  • Ability to communicate effectively with highly technical and non-technical audiences
  • High level of professionalism, discretion, and ethical judgment
  • Experience analyzing technical, financial, or operational data and translating it into recommendations for senior leaders
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional organizational and multitasking skills
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion and integrity
  • Proficiency in MS Office, Teams, OneNote, project and communication software
  • Working understanding of budgeting and fiscal management
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
