About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Perform triage, root cause analysis, and corrections for data issues reported by internal resources
Review Data Analyst analyses for accuracy and quality
Develop and maintain process documentation with Process Owners
Coordinate data issue fixes and improvements across departments
Resolve customer and internal escalations
Develop and communicate action plans for outstanding data issues
Track operational metrics supporting quality and performance
Execute testing for product releases involving data processing changes
Support implementation of new processes, tools, and improvements
Coordinate software release testing and User Acceptance Testing (UAT)
Train new team members on Data Analyst processes and tools
Identify and implement process and technology improvements
Process ad hoc test and production files, including open enrollment files
Determine when issues should be escalated to management
Serve as an internal escalation point when a manager is unavailable
Make decisions affecting internal teams and external customers with minimal manager direction
Build working relationships across Benefitfocus teams
Provide occasional weekend and off-hours support as business needs require
Partner with Product and Sales teams on product roadmaps and enhancements

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree required
3-5 years of experience working in a technical role
Proficient knowledge of both EDI and payroll processes
Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot issues, perform root cause analysis, and coordinate solutions across teams
Ability to exercise independent judgment and make decisions with minimal manager direction
Experience supporting data processing, software release testing, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) preferred
Experience developing or maintaining process documentation and supporting process improvements preferred
Experience training or providing technical guidance to team members preferred
Experience working collaboratively across Product, Sales, Operations, and other internal business teams preferred
