About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Develop trust-based relationships with client stakeholders, including senior executives, Treasury, Human Resources, Benefits, advisors, and TPAs
  • Consult with clients and brokers on investment issues including performance, diversification, style, and suitability
  • Attend Plan Investment and Administrative Committee meetings as appropriate
  • Analyze plan data and industry trends
  • Develop strategic plans involving plan design, product, and participant engagement solutions
  • Lead Voya’s cross-functional service team and report on effectiveness using agreed metrics
  • Manage client retention, RFIs, RFPs, and benchmarking exercises
  • Manage contract negotiations, pricing strategy, contract preparation and signing, and Service Level Agreements
  • Coordinate internal resources for client enhancement projects
  • Establish project live dates, define project scope, negotiate project costs, and manage implementation expectations
  • Identify organic growth and cross-sale opportunities for Voya recordkeeping products
  • Develop, position, close, and implement solutions
  • Contribute to RFP responses and participate in the sales process for new 401(k) business
  • Present Voya’s recordkeeping offering and differentiated value proposition to potential clients

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 6+ years of experience in client service relationship management for defined contribution plans
  • State insurance license must be obtained within 60-days of hire
  • Strong understanding of 401(k) plans and a solid investment background
  • Strong client management experience and skills
  • Strong interpersonal, presentation, and negotiation skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent
  • Industry certifications required
  • FINRA Series 6 or 7 and 63 licensing required
  • Travel 35–50% of the time
  • Work from home in a location that can cover the designated territory
  • Nation-wide location coverage
