About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Support the development and execution of a robust Operational Risk Management strategy, framework and policies
  • Partner with the business to remediate identified risks and document progress in Voya’s GRC tool
  • Identify, assess, measure, mitigate, monitor and report operational risk
  • Manage Key Risk Indicators, scenario analysis, risk committee materials and monthly/quarterly risk reports
  • Manage risk events, including post-incident reviews
  • Analyze data and present risk findings and recommendations to leadership
  • Conduct targeted risk assessments, project engagements and post-release assessments
  • Provide risk consulting and advice on new or updated process changes
  • Facilitate the annual control attestation survey, analyze results and report findings
  • Create risk awareness training materials and facilitate training sessions
  • Partner with business and risk assurance functions to improve processes, controls and risk culture
  • Validate and endorse business risk profiles and constructively challenge excessive residual risk
  • Collaborate on automation opportunities to reduce manual processing
  • Provide risk advice and consulting to senior leaders
  • Develop and administer reporting tools and procedures, including SharePoint, spreadsheets, Tableau, presentations and GRC tools
  • Monitor current trends and external events to identify emerging risks and mitigation strategies

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in risk management, accounting, finance, business management, mathematics, or equivalent work experience in Operational Risk Management
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in Health and Wealth (Benefit Administration) organizations
  • Understanding of Operational Risk Management, Operations, Call Centers, and other business functions
  • Experience in Employee Benefits and/or Benefit Administration preferred
  • Experience with risk assessments, risk decision making, and implementation of controls
  • Ability to analyze and leverage data to perform research and draw conclusions
  • Ability to create high quality work products
  • Proactive communication and problem-solving mindset with focus on process improvement
  • Ability to build relationships, trust, and a reputation for quality with Sr. Leaders
  • Familiarity and expertise with industry GCR tools, Microsoft Office suite, Tableau and SharePoint
  • Leveraging AI tools to support risk management activities is a plus
  • CIA, CRMA, CFE preferred
