About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Oversee all administrative and technical activities for the Avparts division
- Establish vision, resource allocation, strategies, and business plans for efficient operations and cost containment
- Design and implement business strategies and growth plans
- Participate in expansion activities and develop global programs
- Define product and service strategies, plans, and priorities
- Lead proposal efforts for complex new business opportunities
- Develop needs analyses and feasibility studies for potential new business lines
- Identify decision makers in target organizations and maintain relationships
- Research and recommend best practices and strategies for discovering new business opportunities
- Monitor sales activity, market conditions, and business development projects
- Create annual sales plans with targets and report monthly progress
- Identify and acquire aircraft for part-outs, inventory sales, and programs
- Project manage aircraft part-outs
- Lead negotiations and contract discussions; draft and finalize agreements
- Report actual sales against budget monthly and monitor spending
- Establish performance goals, KPIs, and dashboards
- Develop annual budgets and manage profitability and life cycles
- Ensure internal processes and documentation meet corporate requirements
- Evaluate performance data and make adjustments
- Develop analytics-based plans, strategies, and governance
- Develop and maintain inventory forecasts
- Lead, mentor, and train employees
- Collaborate weekly with management to increase productivity
Requirements
What you’ll need- Minimum of 10 years’ experience in Sales and Business Development, including 5 years in a management role
- Experience executing corporate policies and guidelines
- Experience building strategic working relationships
- Proven leadership experience and ability to lead a team and drive continuous improvement
- High degree of professionalism, integrity, solid ethical standards, and trustworthiness
- Ability to work effectively with the safety team, other Voyageur stakeholders, and Chorus entities
- Superior verbal, written, and presentation communication skills
- Demonstrated understanding of finance practices and ability to mentor team members in such processes
- Proven client service management and business growth strategies
- Experience managing various budgets
- Legally eligible to work for a Canadian company
- Clear Criminal Background Check
- Fully vaccinated against COVID-19
