About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Own the full deal cycle from first prospect outreach through signing, closing, and integration
  • Build and own a pipeline of acquisition and investment targets through market mapping, direct outreach, referrals, advisors, and industry events
  • Meet prospects in person and virtually and build trust with founders and management teams
  • Represent Voyfai and communicate its strategy, platform, and value proposition to prospective targets and shareholders
  • Conduct first-pass strategic, commercial, and financial assessments and recommend whether to advance opportunities
  • Build and own financial models covering DCF, comparable company analysis, precedent transaction analysis, accretion/dilution, IRR/return, synergies, and scenarios
  • Own transaction workstreams, including structuring and negotiation support, data room management, and process timelines
  • Coordinate cross-functional and third-party diligence across finance, legal, tax, product, technology, and commercial workstreams
  • Synthesize diligence findings into value drivers and risks
  • Prepare investment memoranda, business cases, and Board and executive-level presentations
  • Work directly with the Director of Corporate Development & M&A and Voyfai's executive team
  • Build out Voyfai's Corporate Development & M&A function in the Americas, initially in the US and later Canada and Latin America
  • Travel across North America up to 40–50%

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field
  • MBA a plus but not required
  • 3 to 5 years of experience in corporate development, investment banking, private equity, growth equity, transaction advisory, or a related deal environment
  • At least 2 years of hands-on exposure across the M&A lifecycle, including sourcing, diligence, negotiation, and closing, through direct client or owner interaction
  • Ability to field in-person questions from business owners and advisors on deal structure, governance, and process without senior-level backup
  • Strong financial modelling, valuation, and analytical skills
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong relationship-building ability with founders and executives
  • Self-starter and ownership-oriented mindset; comfortable managing multiple workstreams and priorities
  • Willingness and ability to travel across North America up to 40–50%
  • Must be authorized to work in the United States
  • Bonus: experience in logistics, freight forwarding, or supply chain
  • Bonus: experience sourcing and maintaining a proprietary M&A pipeline
  • Bonus: proficiency using AI-enabled tools for research, target screening, diligence, and analysis
