About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage client accounts and day-to-day account activities
- Execute account work while contributing to strategic, creative, and financial areas
- Maintain harmonious client relationships and communicate frequently with client counterparts
- Keep clients apprised of job status and ongoing processes
- Prepare timely and accurate contact reports, status reports, timeline recommendations, plans, estimates, and other correspondence
- Attend client meetings, conventions, and market research activities; provide written assessments and recommendations
- Handle objections and defend agency positions and work
- Ensure orderly and timely workflow within the agency
- Collaborate with creatives to foster concept and job development
- Contribute insights, facts, and data to the creative process
- Evaluate creative work, provide constructive feedback, and sell the creative product
- Develop brand strategic maps, copy strategy, communication objectives, and tactical plans
- Develop and execute tactical plans, including budgets and timelines
- Maintain financial control of client work and monitor hours, out-of-pocket expenses, budgets, fees, and billing
- Generate project lists for fee development and prepare forecasts
- Identify opportunities for incremental income
- Maintain accurate and current files, reports, client correspondence, and documents
- Take ownership of brands and assigned responsibilities
Requirements
What you’ll need- Solid brand knowledge, including product, clinicals, and market research
- Knowledge of brand and market performance, including scripts, sales, share, and trends
- Thorough knowledge of key competitors, including strengths, weaknesses, positioning, and performance
- Ability to assess and analyze industry audits, such as IMS and Scott-Levin, and quantitative research
- Ability to analyze qualitative research and capture customer insights and learnings
- Strong understanding of brand positioning, marketing, communication, and tactical planning
- Ability to conduct SWOT analyses and develop key issues
- Ability to develop communication objectives, strategies, innovative tactics, budgets, and timelines
- Understanding of income sources and client compensation structure
- Ability to maintain financial control of client work, including estimates, jobs, fees, and billing
- Ability to prepare forecasts with minimal supervision
- Solid business writing and presentation skills
- Clear and concise verbal and written communication skills
- Selling skills in written and verbal presentations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- Strong interpersonal and listening skills
