About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Build and lead product marketing as a foundational function within VulnCheck's marketing organization
  • Define and refine ideal customer profiles and buyer/user personas across enterprise, government, public sector, and cybersecurity vendor customers
  • Own product positioning and messaging frameworks for VulnCheck's exploit intelligence
  • Lead go-to-market strategy and execution for product and feature launches
  • Partner with Product to translate technical capabilities into narratives, launch plans, website copy, research reports, and sales collateral
  • Equip sales with tools, training, battlecards, competitive positioning, objection handling, and use-case assets
  • Capture customer proof points and success stories and represent VulnCheck at events, webinars, and analyst conversations
  • Own analyst relations, including relationships, briefings, inquiries, and coverage
  • Run competitive analysis and market research
  • Build the product marketing function, initially as an individual contributor, then hire and develop a team within 6–12 months
  • Report directly to the CMO

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 8+ years of product marketing experience in B2B cybersecurity technology, with meaningful experience in threat intelligence, vulnerability management, attack surface management/CTEM, or EDR/XDR
  • Prior people leadership or a clear track record of being ready to hire and manage within the first year, paired with comfort operating as a hands-on IC in the interim
  • Technical fluency in cybersecurity, including vulnerability data and exploit intelligence concepts
  • Ability to speak credibly to technical audiences without a Sales Engineer
  • Demonstrated ownership of ICP/persona development and core positioning and messaging
  • Experience positioning products for enterprise security buyers, government/public sector, and technical data/API partners
  • Experience leading product launches end-to-end, from GTM strategy through cross-functional execution with Product and Sales
  • Ability to craft messaging for technical and executive audiences
  • Strong track record supporting sales teams through enablement tools and field-facing content
  • Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
  • Comfort working in a fast-paced startup environment with a collaborative and hands-on mindset
