About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Manage the development of new projects and/or series-production vehicles within SAM Product Engineering
- Plan and develop technical and economic studies locally or in collaboration with headquarters or affiliated companies
- Lead cross-functional teams and support Management in strategic planning and project implementation
- Manage technical activities, development costs, material costs, and project schedules
- Prepare and analyze schedules and documents
- Participate in project status meetings and present project updates
- Negotiate deadlines and critically assess project requirements, developing action plans as needed
- Prepare the product's technical description
- Collaborate closely with other company departments and Volkswagen Group companies
- Prepare, present, and support the approval of project milestones for Volkswagen do Brasil (VWB) and Volkswagen AG (VWAG)
- Prepare and present business cases
- Ensure that other departments receive the correct project-related inputs
- Coordinate and conduct product planning and management meetings and workshops in Portuguese and English
- Coordinate the implementation of Aekos
Requirements
What you’ll need- Responsible for technically managing product development activities for SAM New Projects
- Manage the Product Engineering team in line with project objectives, including scope and schedule, with a focus on functions
- Establish and manage the project Technik Team
- Create and manage the Project Function List
- Prepare and manage the function integration schedule
- Prepare and manage function testing
- Prepare project status reports and present them in the respective forums
- Conduct tests for function release
- Prepare and manage the engineering development schedule
- Negotiate technical responsibilities with other Volkswagen Group companies
- English proficiency will be explicitly assessed during the selection process
