About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Manage sales strategy for assigned national retailers and distribution channels
  • Manage relationships with key account decision-makers
  • Identify product introduction opportunities and grow retailer and channel penetration
  • Prepare strategic plans and evaluate sales performance
  • Monitor consumer markets and provide feedback for product development, merchandising, and pricing
  • Maintain knowledge of the company’s product lines and competitor products
  • Create and present product and promotional presentations
  • Manage price quotes and sales administration
  • Provide product-demand forecasts and support demand planning
  • Participate in Sales & Operations Planning meetings
  • Promote the company, its products, and brands as the face and voice of the brand
  • Attend trade shows and customer events
  • Contribute to business-unit strategic planning
  • Assist with budget planning and identify anticipated sales income and expenses
  • Assist with training sales representatives and sales support teams
  • Perform other necessary duties

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or related field
  • Five (5) years of progressive sales / account management experience within the consumer products industry
  • In-depth knowledge of the company’s product portfolio
  • Knowledge of channel/distributor sales techniques and best practices
  • Proficiency using a PC, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Strong communication skills and ability to communicate in English verbally and in writing
  • Strong business acumen and analytical skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to manage complex business relationships
  • Time management skills and ability to manage multiple competing demands
  • Ability to command presence in a meeting or group setting
  • Ability to interact and communicate with people at all levels
  • Self-starter and highly motivated
  • Ability to apply innovation to meet business objectives
  • Ability to travel regularly, domestically and/or internationally
  • Ability to maintain regular and predictable attendance
  • Ability to work in a constant state of alertness
