About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support senior merchants in supplier negotiations and manage financials for assigned categories
- Assist in resolving supplier issues and facilitate new supplier setups for stores and online channels
- Own execution of customer communication and education programs with cross-functional teams
- Ensure accuracy and quality of product page content according to taxonomy and search guidelines
- Analyze category performance data for budgeting, forecasting, and sales reporting
- Develop and implement feature proposals and modular assortment strategies across channels
- Collaborate with planners and analysts on financial plans and inventory purchases
- Use data tools to generate insights and support technology adoption
Requirements
What you’ll need- 2 years’ experience in merchandising, buying, financial planning, operations, or related area
- Proven experience in vendor relationship management and supplier negotiations within retail or related sectors
- Strong skills in category strategy development and supplier management
- Proficiency in data analysis and reporting
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally to resolve supplier issues and support item setup and maintenance
- Experience supporting budgeting, forecasting, and financial tracking
- Effective communication skills to execute customer education programs and support omni-channel initiatives
- Commitment to upholding company policies, ethics, and standards
- Preferred: Microsoft Office; negotiating with third-party suppliers; pricing; site merchandising; planning or inventory, or related area
- Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Business or Merchandising
