About the role

Key responsibilities & impact

Participate in an 11-week Walmart summer internship program
Work directly with teams changing how the world shops
Complete an impactful individual project aligned with skillsets and interests
Work in a Cybersecurity capability or discipline based on skillset and role availability
Secure Walmart's digital ecosystem, minimize enterprise risk, and defend against cyberthreats
Troubleshoot and diagnose network security infrastructure issues through root cause analysis
Monitor network performance and conduct audits of network rules and alerts
Configure, maintain, and audit security systems, including spam filtering and identity and access management
Design and implement secure applications and services using security methodologies and the SDLC
Conduct application threat modeling and analyze application security metrics
Monitor and analyze cyber threats, correlate intelligence data, and prepare written intelligence briefings
Perform basic penetration testing and document security findings
Monitor, analyze, and remediate cybersecurity events and support security operations center processes
Monitor data movement and implement data loss prevention solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need

Must be enrolled in a Master's degree program currently
Expected graduation date between December 2027-August 2028
0-2 years of full-time relevant experience (excludes internship and research-based roles)
Desired majors: Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Assurance, or other relevant majors
Must work at the Bentonville, Arkansas location
