Key responsibilities & impact
  • Work in a specific cybersecurity capability/discipline based on skillset, role availability, and other factors
  • Secure Walmart’s digital ecosystem, minimize enterprise risk, and defend against cyberthreats
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, monitor, install, audit, and assist with network security infrastructure
  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, monitor, maintain, audit, and improve security systems
  • Design secure applications and services and implement security solutions adhering to SDLC and security methodologies
  • Conduct application threat modeling and use application security metrics to identify gaps
  • Monitor cyber threats, collect and correlate data, analyze threat actor behavior, and develop written intelligence briefings
  • Perform basic security testing, analyze vulnerabilities, apply severity ratings, and document security findings
  • Monitor, analyze, and remediate cybersecurity events; work tickets and cases; document analytical steps
  • Support security operations center processes, modify alert logic, and improve analytical capabilities
  • Monitor data movement using data loss prevention tools and assist with data loss prevention system solutions

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Must be enrolled in a bachelor's degree program currently
  • Expected graduation date between December 2027-August 2028
  • 0-2 years of full-time relevant experience (excludes internship and research-based roles)
  • Desired majors: Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Computer Information Systems, Information Assurance, or other relevant majors
