About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures
- Inspect, clean, and repair facilities and equipment
- Document signs of wear and maintenance activities
- Complete minor plumbing, electrical, and carpentry repairs under supervision
- Diagnose issues using blueprints, manuals, and testing equipment
- Dismantle and replace defective parts
- Operate heavy machinery and motor vehicles safely
- Conduct pre- and post-operation inspections
- Respond promptly to emergency maintenance calls
- Document repair work accurately
- Comply with safety regulations, company policies, and ethical standards
- Support continuous improvement and work order completion
- Collaborate with management and team members
- Manage parts inventory and refrigerant levels
- Submit parts requests and warranty claims
Requirements
What you’ll need- Valid state-issued driver’s license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
- Option 1: 1 year’s experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area
- Option 2: 2 years’ Walmart store experience
- Ability to read and speak the English language as required by Federal Motor Carrier Safety regulations
- Experience performing routine preventive maintenance and minor repairs across plumbing, electrical, and carpentry
- Ability to inspect, diagnose, and document facility and equipment conditions using blueprints, manuals, and repair catalogs
- Proficiency operating hand tools, power tools, heavy machinery, and material handling equipment safely
- Knowledge of applicable safety regulations and compliance with OSHA and EPA standards
- Organizational skills for maintenance documentation, parts requests, and warranty claims
- Ability to respond promptly to emergency maintenance needs and prioritize work assignments
- Commercial driving record requirements listed as preferred qualifications
- Prior experience reading blueprints, schematics, and wiring diagrams preferred
- Prior experience using hand tools, power tools, and testing equipment preferred
- Intermediate functionality with word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software preferred
