About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Develop and implement comprehensive energy strategies to reduce utility expenses and enhance sustainability initiatives across the region
- Lead energy-saving programs by analyzing costs, forecasting savings, and preparing proposals to optimize return on investment
- Oversee compliance with energy-related legislation and regulations
- Coordinate with legal and technical experts to represent company interests
- Manage energy consumption data during facility planning and construction
- Identify and secure energy credits, rebates, and incentives
- Monitor utility rates and billing accuracy
- Foster partnerships with internal teams and external agencies
- Support energy management goals and community engagement
- Provide strategic leadership for Walmart’s Onsite Energy Solution team
- Lead large-scale projects and integrate advanced technologies
- Develop talent, foster collaboration, and drive continuous improvement
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Business, Finance, or related field and 5 years’ experience in utility operations or related area, OR 7 years’ experience in utility operations or related area
- 1 year’s supervisory experience
- Extensive experience in renewable energy and energy management
- Experience directing energy saving programs and sustainability strategies
- Ability to analyze energy consumption data, forecast costs, and develop budgets
- Strong knowledge of energy and sustainability legislation and regulatory processes
- Experience in policy analysis and stakeholder engagement
- Expertise in energy management systems and electrical engineering principles
