About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the museum’s digital and physical curatorial strategies
- Ensure collections, exhibitions, and experiences meet world-class standards of innovation, storytelling, and accessibility
- Lead cross-functional teams across physical and digital exhibitions and the curatorial program
- Establish project-management best practices and ensure initiatives are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget
- Lead third-party designers’ deliverables for new physical and digital exhibits, content, and programming
- Own the museum’s digital roadmap to expand global access to collections and enhance visitor engagement
- Champion new digital experiences for exhibition design, storytelling, and accessibility
- Define and lead strategies connecting historical stories and culture with the business and community
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster connection, pride, and engagement
- Manage the Walmart Museum, Archives, tours, and related programming through the Museum and Heritage group
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in Business, Human Resources, Legal, or related field and 5 years’ experience in project management, compliance, operations management, or related area, OR 7 years’ experience in those areas
- 4 years’ experience using intermediate functionality of Microsoft Office
- 4 years’ experience leading cross-functional teams
- Extensive portfolio of digital and physical storytelling works
- Strong leadership and organizational skills
- Deep knowledge of digital design, content creation, curatorial practices, and collection management
- Ability to develop and implement long-term strategies for physical and digital exhibition
- Advanced research abilities and analytical thinking
- Proficiency in budget management
- Strong communication skills for engaging with broad audiences
- Knowledge of digital tools and technologies relevant to museums
- Design portfolio review required
- Must work in a drug-free workplace and comply with Walmart’s no-tolerance policy regarding illegal drugs and alcohol on the job
