About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Lead the transformation of Data Ventures L2 support into an engineering-led SRE/L2 organization
- Define reliability standards across SLOs/SLAs, observability, incident management, alerting, and production readiness
- Modernize operations through AI-assisted triage, automation, self-service, and systematic toil reduction
- Partner with engineering teams to strengthen production ownership, eliminate recurring issues, and improve system reliability
- Establish measurable reliability and operational KPIs to drive continuous improvement
- Build and develop a high-performing SRE team with strong technical expertise and customer focus
- Drive cross-functional initiatives to improve platform resilience, scalability, performance, and operational excellence
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 8 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
- 3 years' supervisory experience
- Proven engineering leadership experience building and leading high-performing SRE, production engineering, or platform teams
- Deep understanding of reliability engineering, SLOs/SLAs, observability, incident management, resiliency, and production operations
- Experience transforming reactive support models into proactive, automation-driven SRE practices
- Strong expertise in DevOps, cloud platforms, monitoring, automation, and operational excellence
- Ability to leverage AI and automation to improve triage, remediation, self-service, and reduce operational toil
- Strong cross-functional leadership and stakeholder management across engineering, product, and business teams
- Demonstrated ability to develop engineering talent and foster accountability, customer focus, continuous improvement, and technical excellence
