About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Set the technical vision and roadmap for generative ad creative systems
  • Build and leverage generative models producing images, copy, video, and other ad assets
  • Design and own automated systems evaluating generated creative quality
  • Calibrate evaluations against human and advertiser preferences
  • Defend against distortion, hallucination, and policy violations
  • Build structured representations of creative content for targeting, recommendations, and performance measurement
  • Advance automated content composition and adaptation across formats and placements
  • Architect shared evaluation harnesses, generation pipelines, and quality signals
  • Partner with Product and Engineering leadership to translate creative-product goals into a sequenced technical roadmap
  • Drive innovation in digital advertising across Sponsored Products, Display, and agentic buying experiences

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • 10+ years of applied ML/DS experience
  • Deep, hands-on expertise in generative AI, including image, text, video, or multimodal generation
  • Strong computer vision background
  • Proven experience designing automated model-evaluation systems for generative output, including calibration, drift detection, and production-scale reliability
  • Experience taking generative ML systems from prototype to production at scale
  • Experience designing safety, moderation, and policy constraints
  • Demonstrated technical leadership at Distinguished scope
  • Ability to influence without direct authority
  • Ability to operate amid ambiguous and evolving requirements
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Option 1: Bachelor’s degree in Statistics, Economics, Analytics, Mathematics, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field and 6 years’ experience in an analytics-related field
  • Option 2: Master’s degree in the listed fields or related field and 4 years’ experience in an analytics-related field
  • Option 3: 8 years’ experience in an analytics or related field
