Key responsibilities & impact

Lead the design and development of scalable, cloud-native AI-powered software systems and intelligent automation solutions
Translate domain-level strategies into system-level implementations
Ensure architectural integrity and operational excellence
Champion DevOps and CI/CD practices
Maintain resilient, observable, and performant services with robust monitoring and alerting
Provide technical guidance through code reviews, architectural decisions, and incident analysis
Mentor engineers across teams
Identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks
Drive automation and improve engineering velocity
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives
Define success metrics, conduct experiments, and build predictive and causal solutions as part of the Marketplace Tech team

Requirements

What you’ll need

Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 8 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
Extensive experience designing and building scalable, cloud-native software systems with AI integration
Proven ability to lead system-level technical execution
Strong expertise in DevOps and CI/CD practices
Experience delivering resilient, observable, and performant services
Skill in automating processes and optimizing system scalability
Effective mentorship and leadership capabilities
Excellent collaboration and communication skills
Master's degree and 4 years' experience are preferred, not required
Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices is preferred
Must comply with Walmart's drug-free workplace policy
