Key responsibilities & impact
  • Lead the design and development of scalable, cloud-native AI-powered systems and intelligent automation solutions
  • Translate domain-level strategies into system-level implementations while ensuring architectural integrity and reliability
  • Champion DevOps and CI/CD practices for operational readiness, observability, and service performance
  • Provide technical leadership through code reviews, architectural decisions, and incident analysis
  • Mentor engineers across teams and foster continuous learning and high standards in software delivery
  • Identify and resolve architectural bottlenecks and automate processes to improve engineering velocity and scalability
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align technical solutions with business objectives
  • Build production-ready models and actionable insights supporting seller success, customer experience, trust, safety, and growth

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, computer information systems, software engineering, or related area and 6 years’ experience in software engineering or related area; OR 8 years’ experience in software engineering or related area
  • Proven expertise designing and building scalable, cloud-native software systems and AI-powered agents
  • Strong technical leadership and experience owning system-level execution and aligning architecture with domain strategy
  • Deep knowledge of reliability engineering, operational due diligence, and continuous integration/deployment practices
  • Ability to drive operational excellence through code reviews, incident analysis, and automation of manual processes
  • Experience mentoring engineers and fostering high standards, innovation, and continuous improvement
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills with cross-functional teams and stakeholders
  • Sound technical judgment and agility adapting to evolving technologies and business needs
  • Preferred: Master’s degree in a relevant field and 4 years' experience in software engineering or related area
  • Preferred: Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices
