About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Conduct comprehensive cyber risk assessments and assist in implementing risk management practices
  • Perform static and dynamic analysis of malicious code to identify threat signatures and malware characteristics
  • Support threat detection and incident response by monitoring, documenting, and reporting cyber incidents
  • Collaborate in defining architectural specifications and applying patterns to enhance system security and performance
  • Assist with infrastructure maintenance, including backups, patch management, and system transaction logging
  • Develop and test code using recommended programming languages to support security solutions and business requirements
  • Provide expert guidance on emerging cyber threats and mitigation strategies
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to implement cyber defense strategies and continuously improve security practices

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, information systems, cybersecurity or related area and 2 years’ experience in dynamic defense or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company; OR 4 years’ experience in dynamic defense or related area at a technology, retail, or data-driven company
  • Proven expertise in cyber risk assessment, management techniques, and mitigation strategies
  • Strong knowledge of threat detection, incident response, and vulnerability management
  • Experience performing static and dynamic malware analysis using advanced debugging and monitoring tools
  • Proficiency in SQL, Java, C, and Python
  • Ability to analyze system architecture and apply appropriate architectural patterns to enhance security and performance
  • Familiarity with infrastructure maintenance, including backups, patch management, and system transaction logging
  • Skilled in cyber incident management, including detection, reporting, categorization, and mitigation
  • Certification in Security+, Network+, GISF, CISSP, or CCSP (preferred)
  • Master’s degree in a relevant field (preferred)
  • Knowledge of WCAG 2.2 AA standards, assistive technologies, and digital accessibility best practices (preferred)
