About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Direct heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and critical power maintenance and service operations
- Evaluate facility needs, equipment needs, efficiency improvements, airflow, humidity, system functioning, and energy-reduction requirements
- Develop standard operating procedures, facility maintenance inspections, and preventive maintenance programs
- Drive execution of multiple business plans and projects
- Oversee sustainability initiatives and Environmental Protection Agency compliance programs
- Resolve vendor, service provider, and contractor scope-of-work issues
- Provide technical training
- Manage complex projects, work assignments, workforce needs, work inspections, punch lists, materials, requisitions, and timecards
- Direct regional field operations and monitor preventive maintenance completion and contractor performance
- Develop and approve budgets, evaluate return on investment, approve contracts, invoices, purchases, and expenditures
- Maintain project timelines, costs, schedules, materials, equipment, and project updates
- Manage department budgets, spending, warranty reimbursement, reports, and landlord lease compliance
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R industry laws, regulations, and guidelines
- Coordinate job-related activities and assignments with key stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with company policies, mission, values, ethics, and integrity standards
- Hire, train, mentor, assign duties, recognize, and develop associates
- Build high-performing teams and promote a culture of belonging, collaboration, accountability, continuous improvement, and customer focus
Requirements
What you’ll need- Licensed Master Plumber and 5 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, electrical maintenance, engineering, or related area OR 3 years’ experience in the above areas with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
- Master Plumber License or equivalent in the state you will be working
- Preferred: Building controls or related area
- Preferred: Experience leading cross-functional teams
- Preferred: External work experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in an optical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment
- Preferred: Supervisory experience
