About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Direct heating, ventilation, air conditioning, refrigeration, plumbing, electrical, and critical power maintenance and service operations
  • Evaluate facility, equipment, airflow, humidity, and load requirements; direct temperature adjustments and energy-reduction setback modes
  • Develop standard operating procedures, facility maintenance inspections, and preventive maintenance programs
  • Drive execution of multiple business plans and projects; identify needs, remove barriers, provide resources, measure progress, and develop contingency plans
  • Oversee sustainability initiatives and Environmental Protection Agency compliance programs
  • Manage complex projects, including prioritization, workforce planning, supervision, inspections, punch lists, project completion, material requisitions, and timecards
  • Direct regional field operations, track preventive maintenance completion, monitor contractors, control costs, and review initiatives
  • Evaluate plans and initiatives, consult stakeholders, improve efficiency and cost effectiveness, and support community outreach
  • Develop and approve budgets, evaluate return on investment, approve contracts and invoices, and determine resource requirements
  • Review cost estimates and approve purchases of parts, materials, equipment, and supplies
  • Maintain project oversight by managing timelines, costs, schedules, materials, equipment, labor estimates, improvements, cost reductions, and invoices
  • Manage department budgets, spending, facility invoices, reports, warranty reimbursement, and landlord lease compliance
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local HVAC/R laws, regulations, and guidelines
  • Coordinate job-related activities, relationships, goals, accountability, progress, and improvement opportunities
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, mission, values, ethics, and integrity standards
  • Hire, train, mentor, assign duties, recognize, and develop associates
  • Build high-performing, inclusive teams and promote continuous learning, integrity, customer focus, and operational excellence

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Licensed Master Plumber and 5 years’ experience in facilities management, construction management, electrical maintenance, engineering, or related area OR 3 years’ experience in the above areas with a bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or related field
  • Master Plumber License or equivalent in the state you will be working
  • Preferred: building controls or related area
  • Preferred: experience leading cross-functional teams
  • Preferred: external work experience as a Maintenance Supervisor in an optical, pharmaceutical, or manufacturing environment
  • Preferred: supervisory experience
