About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform routine preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures
- Inspect, clean, troubleshoot, repair, and document facilities, equipment, and fixtures
- Gather capital expense information and recommend repairs or replacements
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, contractors, maintenance logs, and related documentation
- Compare parts and travel-related costs; order parts and replacement equipment; track orders and purchases
- Submit warranty claims and maintenance invoices for payment
- Ensure work and contractors comply with Walmart standards, safety requirements, contracts, and federal, state, and local regulations
- Identify and report deficiencies, unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, and potential hazards
- Unload, store, and transport equipment between facilities
- Maintain and coordinate required maintenance for company vehicles
- Safely operate motor vehicles and verify required vehicle documents, insurance, and operating conditions
- Operate heavy machinery and powered equipment, including forklifts, material handling equipment, industrial machines, shop equipment, and vehicles
- Perform pre-operation safety checks and post-operation inspections
- Lead and participate in teams, coordinate work assignments, and support timelines and work quality
- Develop, communicate, and implement processes and practices to meet business needs
- Collaborate with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners to monitor results and improve processes
- Promote company policies, ethics, integrity, safety, and compliance standards
- Support inclusion, mentoring, continuous improvement, and Walmart's customer-first mission
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least five years of verifiable electrical experience
- Strong working knowledge of three-phase power systems, building lighting controls, and commercial electrical infrastructure
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing power-related issues throughout commercial facilities
- Capable of diagnosing complex electrical problems safely and efficiently
- Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area, OR 4 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area
- Valid state-issued driver's license and ability to pass a motor vehicle report
- Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years
- Commercial driving record with no more than two moving violations in the last three years
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations, as defined by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations, while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- Ability to operate, inspect, and maneuver heavy machinery and powered equipment in accordance with training, certification, and safety requirements
