About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Perform preventive maintenance on facilities, equipment, and fixtures
- Inspect, clean, repair, and document facilities, equipment, and fixtures
- Gather capital expense information and recommend repairs or replacements
- Manage work orders, maintenance schedules, contractors, and maintenance documentation
- Compare parts and travel-related costs; order parts and replacement equipment
- Record purchases and usage and submit warranty claims
- Ensure work and contractors comply with Walmart standards, safety requirements, contract requirements, and applicable regulations
- Identify and report deficiencies
- Unload, store, and transport equipment between facilities
- Maintain company vehicles and coordinate required vehicle maintenance
- Safely operate motor vehicles and inspect fuel, water levels, brakes, signals, and lights
- Submit maintenance invoices and verify vehicle insurance coverage and validity
- Operate, inspect, and maneuver forklifts, material handling equipment, industrial machines, shop equipment, and vehicles
- Perform pre-operation and post-operation safety inspections
- Identify unsafe conditions, equipment malfunctions, and hazards; take corrective action or escalate
- Lead and participate in teams, coordinate work assignments, and support timelines and work quality
- Develop and implement processes and practices by collaborating with managers, coworkers, customers, and business partners
- Monitor progress and results and identify improvement opportunities
- Promote compliance with company policies, ethics, and integrity standards
- Support a respectful, inclusive, customer-focused, and continuously improving workplace
Requirements
What you’ll need- At least five years of verifiable electrical experience
- Strong working knowledge of three-phase power systems, building lighting controls, and commercial electrical infrastructure
- Skilled in troubleshooting and repairing power-related issues throughout commercial facilities
- Able to diagnose complex electrical problems safely and efficiently
- Vocational or technical certification and 2 years' experience in plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related area; OR 4 years' experience in these areas
- Valid state-issued driver’s license
- Ability to pass a motor vehicle report
- Commercial driving record with no DUI, DWI, or OUI convictions within the last five years
- No more than two moving violations in the last three years
- No preventable accidents while operating a commercial motor vehicle in the last three years
- No serious traffic violations under Federal Motor Carrier Safety Regulations within the last three years
- Ability to operate heavy machinery and powered equipment in accordance with training, certification, and safety requirements
- Compliance with OSHA and EPA regulations and guidelines
