About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Provide expert advice and guidance on action plans, information, and best practices
- Engage in content teach-backs and co-facilitate training for Driver Trainees with senior leaders
- Provide feedback to Driver Trainees, Fleet Development leadership, and Regional Training Center team members
- Build stakeholder relationships and implement business solutions
- Conduct facilitation audits across Fleet Development roles
- Conduct One Best Way consistency tours and provide risk assessments
- Ensure One Best Way compliance and alignment with Fleet Development class content
- Participate in Fleet Development content development and reviews
- Conduct assessment reviews with the Learning Content Development team
- Support structural and change initiatives through classroom and virtual classroom facilitation
- Support Regional Training Center processes outside class delivery times, including tour-to-teach activities
- Conduct training classes according to block schedules
- Monitor virtual reality training utilization and end-of-day activities across multiple locations, including virtually
- Deliver training using Academy Connect, Virtual Reality, and future technologies
- Implement and support specialty and change-initiative training
- Engage with Fleet Development Trainers by providing additional training and following up on task completion
- Hire, train, mentor, assign duties, and recognize associates while fostering belonging
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current holder of an interstate Class A Commercial Driver's License with Hazmat endorsement, including cleared background check, or ability to obtain the HAZMAT endorsement with cleared background check within 120 calendar days of hire
- 3 years' experience working full-time in a Class A tractor/trailer driving position within the previous 7 years
- No more than 2 moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last 3 years
- No serious traffic violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last 3 years
- No convictions for DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless driving involving alcohol/drugs within the last 10 years
- No preventable commercial motor vehicle accidents in the last 3 years
- No preventable DOT-recordable commercial motor vehicle accidents in the last 10 years
- No preventable commercial motor vehicle accident resulting in a fatality or catastrophic injury
- Preferred: 250,000 miles of over-the-road tractor/trailer experience
- Preferred: over-the-road tractor/trailer driver experience
- Preferred: no moving violations in the last 3 years
- Preferred: training or facilitation experience
