About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Apply expertise to develop, execute, and improve action plans through expert advice and guidance
- Conduct content teach-backs and co-facilitate Driver Trainee training with senior leaders
- Provide feedback to Driver Trainee participants, Fleet Development leadership, and Regional Training Center team members
- Build stakeholder relationships and implement business solutions
- Conduct facilitation audits across Fleet Development roles
- Conduct One Best Way consistency tours and provide risk assessments in Regional Training Centers
- Ensure One Best Way compliance and alignment with Fleet Development class content
- Participate in Fleet Development content development and reviews
- Conduct assessment reviews with Learning Content Development to validate content accuracy
- Support structural and change initiatives through classroom and virtual classroom facilitation
- Assist Regional Training Center processes outside class delivery times and execute “tour to teach”
- Conduct training classes according to block schedules
- Monitor virtual reality training utilization and end-of-day activities across multiple Fleet Development locations, including virtually
- Deliver training using Academy Connect, Virtual Reality, and other modalities
- Implement and support specialty and change-initiative training
- Train Fleet Development Trainers and follow up on task completion
- Hire, train, mentor, assign duties, recognize, and develop associates
Requirements
What you’ll need- Current interstate Class A Commercial Driver’s License with Hazmat endorsement, including cleared background check, or ability to obtain the Hazmat endorsement with cleared background check within 120 calendar days of hire
- 3 years’ experience working full-time in a Class A tractor/trailer driving position within the previous 7 years
- No more than 2 moving violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last 3 years
- No serious traffic violations while operating a personal or commercial motor vehicle in the last 3 years
- No DUI, DWI, OUI, or reckless-driving convictions involving alcohol/drugs within the last 10 years
- No preventable commercial motor vehicle accidents in the last 3 years, as determined by Walmart based on ATA Guidelines
- No preventable DOT-recordable commercial motor vehicle accidents in the last 10 years, as determined by Walmart based on ATA Guidelines
- No preventable commercial motor vehicle accident resulting in fatality or catastrophic injury
- Training or facilitation experience preferred
- 250,000 miles of over-the-road tractor/trailer experience preferred
- No moving violations in the last 3 years preferred
