About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Act as strategic business partner to the Site General Manager, Assistant General Manager, and Senior Site Engineer
  • Lead the People Team at the distribution center and ensure an exceptional associate experience
  • Develop, communicate, and implement People strategies supporting business objectives
  • Support workforce planning, talent and succession planning, development plans, and leadership pipeline development
  • Support leadership through change management with appropriate communication, understanding, support, and follow-up
  • Lead adoption of new people digital tools
  • Monitor policy, management guideline, employment law, and regulatory changes and implement communication and change management
  • Analyze data and trends to improve turnover, engagement, and compliance processes and programs
  • Foster belonging through associate listening sessions and Facility Engagement Action Plans
  • Support Associate Open-Door Concerns and investigations according to the Walmart Code of Conduct
  • Oversee OSHA logs, Unemployment Claims, Tad Assignment Documentation, and State Forms Completion
  • Support management candidate hiring, including sourcing and screening, Workday requisition management, compensation reviews, and offers
  • Support organizational changes from an associate perspective while following applicable policies, processes, and procedures
  • Influence strategic business decisions while considering associates and company culture

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Bachelor's Degree in business or a related field and 2 years' HR Generalist experience, including at least one year supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees; managing workload; and participating in the hiring and promotion of employees
  • OR 1 year's experience as a Walmart Logistics Human Resources Area Manager or Walmart Human Resources Office Manager, including supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing associates; managing associate workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of associates
  • OR 3 years' experience supervising, evaluating, mentoring, and developing employees; managing workload; and participating in hiring and promotion of employees, including one year managing human resource processes
  • Experience with HR processes such as payroll, workers compensation, benefits, employee relations, recruiting/staffing, organizational planning, and/or training and development programs
  • Successful completion of all job-required trainings and assessments
  • Strong understanding of HR fundamentals
  • Strategic thinking and transformational leadership
  • Proven track record in nurturing associates and leaders within the organization
