About the role

Key responsibilities & impact
  • Communicate verbally and in writing with customers, suppliers, associates, and other individuals or groups
  • Implement the business plan for the area of responsibility by communicating goals, managing staffing and scheduling, assigning duties, coordinating workloads, and ensuring required training completion
  • Manage daily HR office functions, including benefits, hiring, transfers, terminations, and payroll
  • Execute and refine recruiting and staffing initiatives
  • Research and address employment-related concerns for applicants, associates, and managers
  • Ensure compliance with company HR policies and maintain accurate, confidential HR documents and systems
  • Maintain quality and safety standards by ensuring training on logistics and company policies, standards, and procedures
  • Identify concerns and determine corrective actions or recommendations
  • Supervise and develop associates and leaders through assignment, performance monitoring, feedback, coaching, teaching, hiring, promotion, and evaluation
  • Coordinate training such as new-hire orientation, CBL modules, web-based training, and virtual classrooms
  • Identify training and development needs for hourly associates, drivers, and management
  • Present and facilitate training courses and monitor curricula, deadlines, schedules, and compliance
  • Coordinate and oversee job-related activities and assignments
  • Develop stakeholder relationships and support plans and initiatives to meet customer and business needs
  • Identify goals, objectives, accountability, progress, and improvement opportunities
  • Promote continuous learning, belonging, ethics, integrity, customer focus, data-driven decisions, and continuous improvement

Requirements

What you’ll need
  • Associate's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field and 1 year's supervisory experience OR Bachelor's Degree in Business, Logistics, or related field OR 2 years' Walmart Logistics management experience OR 2 years' supervisory experience, including 1 year's experience managing human resource processes OR 1 year's Walmart Stores, Inc. Human Resources experience
  • Required to attend and successfully complete all job-required trainings and assessments
  • Preferred: Human Resources, Microsoft Office, Supervising Associates, Training and Facilitation, Walmart Logistics Systems
  • Preferred bachelor's degree in Business or Logistics
  • Preferred PHR or SPHR certification
  • Must comply with Walmart's drug-free workplace policy
