About the role
Key responsibilities & impact- Support development of category and department assortments and layouts aligned with category and department goals
- Shape assortment strategy using customer behavior, channel preferences, and category performance across stores and digital
- Conduct advanced insights work including segmentation, trip missions, clustering, and localization
- Analyze data, trends, performance drivers, and market opportunities to generate actionable insights and recommendations
- Deliver diagnostics and performance narratives, identify root causes, and translate findings into clear actions and priorities
- Develop next-generation space recommendations to improve customer experience, shopability, and productivity
- Define success metrics, develop test-versus-control approaches, evaluate results, and refine recommendations
- Collaborate with Merchandising and cross-functional partners to influence assortment, localization, space allocation, category flow, and digital experiences
- Promote integrity, accountability, customer focus, and continuous improvement to deliver business results
Requirements
What you’ll need- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Design, Marketing, Mathematics, or related field and 2 years’ experience in retail, replenishment, supplier sales, finance, or related area OR 4 years’ experience in retail, replenishment, supplier sales, finance, or related area
- Experience in merchandising, strategy, insights, or analytics
- Strong strategic and analytical thinking, data literacy, and ability to synthesize multiple data inputs
- Ability to influence cross-functional partners through storytelling, executive-ready communication, and stakeholder management
- Ability to operate in ambiguity with a proactive, solution-oriented mindset
- Ability to leverage artificial intelligence to analyze complex data and develop creative solutions
- Commitment to integrity, accountability, and continuous improvement in a fast-paced retail environment
